This last trip to LA, just me and Shane, was a little nostalgic. It was my final trip sans the "new edition," at least for a few months and since my brother moved home we'll have a different home base in the future. LA is like my second home so I'll miss my monthly city fix dearly. Plus, when we start traveling with the lady bug, we won't be doing the same things anymore. Granted, we'll be starting new and beautiful memories, but nonetheless visits to LA will be different. Typically my spare time would have been spent at my favorite shopping spots around town, but this trip was about eating everything my heart desired and visiting old stomping grounds for memory's sake.
I'll miss this neighborhood

I am sort of relieved, however, to not have to travel in the near future because let me tell ya, trying to look cute while packing some extra lbs. is not any easy task. Nor a comfortable one. That's also the reason for the lack of personal fashion posts lately. I've resorted to wearing tunic-like tops with the same rotation of leggings and smocked waist Jolt shorts. Ugh, so boring! But only 6-7 more weeks to go. Then, it's exercise boot camp for me so I can squeeze in the last month of summer fashion! My goal being, to be able to wear my flare jeans and assortment of high waist culottes before they're seasonably out of style.

I think you look so cute! I love the floral top w/ brown OTK boots!
ReplyDeleteHi Tiff,
ReplyDeleteI have a super random question and I don't mean to sound like a creeper ;) A few posts back I noticed your wedding pic in the background...who was your photographer? If you don't mind me asking. From what I could see I loved it!
I'm gonna miss this neighborhood too...first on business trip without me :(
ReplyDeleteHi anonymous! I went with Marcia Campbell. She has a beautiful sense of imagery. Very artistic and not your typical wedding day poses. That's why I chose her. I highly recommend! Thanks for noticing that picture! It was a x-mas gift to my husband and I from my parents, since I never got around to printing any of our wedding photos!!!! ahhh! : )

I'm having some technical difficulties myself with dressing the bump these days. LOVE your "tunic-like tops" and am curious where you found both grey tops? You really set the bar high for us preggo women trying to look cute. ;)
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by lindsey! Both the gray sweater tunic & the marled knit sweater are from shop.bamboosky.com, but i believe those styles are currently sold out. I say, go for things that drape over your bump, (showcasing it) but not skin tight. Don't try to hide it with over sized clothes (you end up looking even larger) and make sure the length of your tops/tunics are somewhat mini (obviously wear them with leggings). But i noticed when i was pregnant, that when my tops were too long, it looked stumpy. And scarves make the perfect stylish, but concealing accessory.
